Bullshit..the only civilitan job I could get was a phelbotemist. Granted this was in the 80s. I hear now all the medics are National Registry EMTs. That's cool. You will have to pay for the licensure for you state if you dont have it already, in Indiana $10 for verification and $50 for license.
