<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was just having a conversation about the 35 w/ one of my buddies that is a mech on A-10s at Whiteman. We both agree that there is no current replacement for the A10 platform. The conversation then steered it's way to that the 35 does not appear to be a CAS platform, its build does seem suitable for a carrier-based air-to-air fighter. The size would maximize space usage, plus it needs a short takeoff lane. It could successfully replace the Tomcat & be a great addition to the Super-Hornets & Growlers.<br /><br />Perhaps if the manufacturer would focus on ONE ability of the jet, instead of trying to make it a replacement for multiple platforms, it could work.SSgt Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 18 Feb 2015 17:15:43 -05002015-02-18T17:15:43-05:00Response by SGT Jim Z. made Feb 18 at 2015 6:01 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So Lockheed declares that the F-35 is stealth yet through testing we discover it is not. I think that we should scrap the program and declare Lockheed in violation of the contract. Yes it may piss them off but as a taxpayer and a veteran I believe if you are going to sell a product you best deliver that product. I could understand the prototype and but we are on the third iteration and still not up to par.SGT Jim Z.Wed, 18 Feb 2015 18:01:40 -05002015-02-18T18:01:40-05:002015-02-18T16:54:48-05:00
