My first PCS. Please advise.

1. When I go to drop off my POV at port to be shipped will I have to use leave or will I get PTDY or some form of reimbursement?

2. Where can I get an Emergency Car Kit that is German (DIN) approved?

3. How long does it usually take for HHG and POV to reach their final destination?

4. Anyone out-processed privatized base housing with Balfour-Beatty? How do the inspections go? How do you make rental insurance claims, etc.?

I would appreciate any advice.

First advise is to find out who is currently stationed at your future unit and ask them these questions. There is always the craziness of HHG/POV of showing up too early or too late. However, they can give you a good idea.

I only got one day. When I picked up my new car in Germany and when I dropped it off. The same when I was in Korea. And when I picked it up in the U.S. You find someone who is dropping off there car or picking it up for a ride.
