He feels like if I was with him he would be better mentally because he’s go through so much and because I’m his wife. We’ll both be enrolled in deers by Tuesday. I’m in fort bliss 42A in a G-1 and he’s in fort Stewart 88M. I know there’s different approaches I could take to be with him but what’s recommend as most effective? We’re willing to do anything My husband and I recently got married after AIT. He just lost his mom and we are each other’s only support. How can we be together? 2018-04-06T13:48:10-04:00 PVT Private RallyPoint Member 3518079

We’ve known each other for 3 years. I believe your best approach is to request a compassionate reassignment as they can waive certain rules if the situation does in fact deems it necessary. Ensure that your request includes ALL details and has everything you may thing it will increase you chances to get it approved.

I work closely with the 42A branch I will take a look in the system on Monday and contact you via email whether or not I can find a avenue to get you and your husband squared away. You’re Privates it shouldn’t be a problem get you two together. First ask your 1SG to help either one of you too move. Him or you. Tell him/her the situation. One of you might have to volunteer to do a no cost move. That means you pay your own way to the new duty station. There used to be a list of swaps in the Army times. I don’t know if they still do that. Response by COL Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 9 at 2018 8:06 PM 2018-04-09T20:06:51-04:00 2018-04-09T20:06:51-04:00 2018-04-06T13:48:10-04:00
