My late wife, Christalyn Johnson, was a TSGT in the USAFR. Who do I contact to get listing of her postings, promotions & awards?

When Christalyn passed away, I discovered that Air Force Reserve personnel did not receive DD214s like other branches of the service. Because she was a reservist the Air Force Personnel Center did not have her records and I spent days hunting them down. I finally found a copy of a DD214 from early in her career when she was an Airman. That plus her ID card was sufficnet proof to get her in the Veterans Cemetry and the Honors she deseved, but has left me without the tools, that I need.

Perhaps you can contact her last reserve unit for assistance?
I'm also willing to bet an Air Force recruiter can help you with your query.

I would contact the National Cemetery Administration. They have personnel who are experts on locating lost/missing military records including documentation required for burial in a National Cemetery and information on all honors and decorations.

I would give the Randolph AFB folks a call again and explain to them what is going on. What you need is her Enlisted Data Verification Record (DVR), EPRs, and Awards and Decoration Information. Pretty sure all the AFPC folks need is her SSN...and they can pull everything up on her...if you get the right person. That is the hard part. Some will say they can't do it...been through those hoops. Good luck.
