SGT Private RallyPoint Member6276346<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I served on AD for 11.5 years. I decided to ETS April 4 2020. I signed a 1 yr contract with the NG. While separating from the Army I applied and was accepted for a Law Enforcement job. I contacted the unit in the time that was stated on the paperwork on my contract. They said they could not see me yet and to try back later. I continued to contact but got no where. My new job then asked for a letter of good standing for my LE job with the national guard unit. The unit told me they could not give me a letter until I was in the unit. I'm on verge of loosing this job due to needing a letter of good standing or letter stating I'm not in the NG now. The unit isn't helpful or trying to figure out where paperwork issue. I have talked to NG bites and HRC as well. At this point I'm done and ready to put army behind me. Any way of ending this contract now that anyone knows of?My NG contract isn't showing up in the unit and ruining my career. How do it end it?2020-09-03T20:30:23-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member6276346<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I served on AD for 11.5 years. I decided to ETS April 4 2020. Well you can try, but let me know how that goes.<br /><br />Here's an idea, if you are using your CoC, and they aren't helping, have you thought about talking to the next higher until you get an answer?Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 3 at 2020 11:47 PM2020-09-03T23:47:04-04:002020-09-03T23:47:04-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member6276929<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The unit isn’t helpful in finding the contract you signed with an Active Duty AGR Reserve Component Career Counselor who handed you a copy of the contract? Where is your copy of any and all paperwork. Letter of good standing? You served 11.5 years and if you ets’d without incident (11.5?) you should have a clean DD214 and final NCOER. These documents should suffice- if they demand a letter, and you served Honorabley your losing unit would most likely have no problem providing a letter.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Sep 4 at 2020 5:10 AM2020-09-04T05:10:24-04:002020-09-04T05:10:24-04:002020-09-03T20:30:23-04:00
