My question is even though I am a married SM with on post housing can they really make me stay in the barracks?

I’m in school to be a 25N. I am married with a wife and son. My course is 26 weeks long.

Until you are gold phase, they’ll make you stay in the barracks. At least that’s how it was in my AIT (35T and same for the 35G)

They can make you do anything....don't buck the system..like I did... just do what you're told....
