Promotion rates, deployments, duty stations... etc My re-enlistment window just opened up and I’m thinking about reclassing to 31K, 91E, 92R in that order. What is your opinion on them? 2018-04-02T00:15:52-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3504135 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have the scores for all of them, just looking for some opinions or people currently in these jobs. As a 91E if you deploy you will most likely be with a maintenance unit or possibly vertical engineers, working on the fob. Unless there is a forward mission for which there is a requirement for a welder, like my current deployment. From my understanding promotion rates for a 91E are not that high for any component of the Army. When I was in Kuwait in 15-16 there were quite a few 31k there, they had their own little compound where they worked with the dogs and did their thing, as far as deployments go with that I would imagine wherever there are working dogs still being used you would go, but primarily again you would be on the fob. 92R you have an 80% shot off the bat you will go to Bragg, or possibly Campbell. Just like 31R, where ever there’s a need for that MOS you have a chance of going, if they are not performing airborne operations in country then the chances of you deploying probably not very high. I would say choose something that you have a true interest in and something that will also set you up for success both in the military and when you transition out. You will get welding certs through the school house as well as cnc and basic machining certs ,fort lee is where your school is at and you will be with Echo 832nd as prior service reclass , the school is easy to get through and fun with very helpful instructors , fun job , good for civilian application if you wanna do good hard work and make good money Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 2 at 2018 6:11 AM 2018-04-02T06:11:52-04:00 2018-04-02T06:11:52-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 3504477 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>91es typically live a chill life and have alot of time to practice and learn alot of other 91 series jobs , Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 2 at 2018 6:14 AM 2018-04-02T06:14:21-04:00 2018-04-02T06:14:21-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 3504740 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You probably won&#39;t find any 31K class seats. You can search through RP to see how many people ask about 31K. It&#39;s a small MOS with a bottleneck at SGT. The same problem with promotion for 91E. You can go back and look at the promotion points for the last year on the HRC Enlisted Promotion website. If you like jumping then 92R is a great MOS. It’s a very small field, therefore, you will see people over and over again everywhere you go. If you’re good with your hands, and have a good attention to detail, you’ll do well. If you don&#39;t mind hard work and long hours be a rigger. I recommend a thick skin and able to hold your own when smack talk comes your way. Of course you get the cool schools like MMF and Jumpmaster but you work for it. It’s a repetitive job at times to make the mission happen but if you have good soldiers who work hard, you can (at times) get home early enough to see your family. Keep in mind, it pretty hard to reclass out of also. You will be making “trophies” and grills. You will eventually venture out and help out the mechanics. The best thing about being a 91E is vehicle recovery.
