I&#39;ve had a shaving profile since basic training and I&#39;ve been in AIT for about 6 months. I stay within my 1/8&quot; limits, but he told me I need to shave. Not even my 1SG or commander has said anything to me at all or question if I even have a profile. What do you all think of this? How much is this fight worth it to you?<br /><br />So long as your paperwork is in order and you maintain your military bearing you&#39;re probably good to go, not saying you won&#39;t be on an unfair nitpick list immediately afterward though. Drill is gonna have eyes on you.

Available for less than $20.<br />There is. a great product labeled Tendskin for razor bumps and acne. Give it a try, it worked for me and I shave my head daily. You may find it at bed, bath, and beyond, or other health and beauty supply places. A little goes a long way.<br /><br />Now, you want to see the better service and assignment opportunities become available to you. Avoid this fight by demonstrating that you are willing to try different strategies like above to meet the standard. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If your Commander/1SG and your DS have differing views on your beard, then you should bring it up to your Commander and 1SG so that they can be on the same page about it. Surely there is a misunderstanding there and it&#39;s best if the three of them work it out together and present you the standard they are all in agreement with

For dress uniform he told me I should be clean shaven regardless of shaving profile and I challenged that. The next day he told me I was correct, I didn&#39;t have to shave as long as it was within my profile. Now he&#39;s telling me to shave it completely with the clippers and let it grow no more than 1/8&quot;, but I see no problem with having my beard as long as it is within profile. When I did keep it very low I still got bumps with clippers and it&#39;s very irritable and they form pus-filled heads so very noticeable.
