National Guard: Does SAD override ADOS? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/national-guard-does-sad-override-ados <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My home unit is preparing for a Potential SAD operation and I would like to know how this would affect me while I am on ADOS with a different unit. Will it terminate my current ADOS contract, put a pause on my current contract, or will I be passed over for the SAD operation? Most of the time they try to avoid changing the type of orders you are on. If you are on ADOS more than 30 days, you are getting benefits (Tricare, BAH.....) If they remove you from those orders and put your on SAD then you lose those benefits. It also makes it a pain to get everything going again IF they put you back on ADOS. Make sure it is ADOS and not FTNGD-OS. Unless it is something that you feel you just HAVE to do, the best bet would be to stay put and finish your orders.
