What is your unit doing (or plannomg on doing) to sustain the new F2 requirements? What kinds of medic trainings do you do on drill? Also, anyone that has questions about paramedicine or critical care, feel free to contact me! What is the process for becoming one in the Guard?

Medics do not get too much training time at my unit during drill. Everything falls on us to do on our own for the most part. Hopefully I will learn something new at NTC this year. I can tell you that working at a battalion staff, as a medic, I do not hands on training at drill. The units that we support are aviation and they do training all the time. Recently, during AT, I was able to go on a MEDEVAC mission with them and experience how their training pays off. I would love the opportunity to transfer into the unit. If I remember correctly, it is in a beta phase. Looks to be on track. My last unit was discussing doing some of the classroom part for the FPC with JBSA via teleconference. This looks like it would work.
When I finished F2, I made contact with some of my local flight services and their Flight Paramedics. They advised that the way they keep their certs up is to attend conferences like the one in San Diego last month.
