The Political Officer pronounced "Zampolit" wore the same uniform as other Soviet Russian officers however, he was not on the same career path as the standard Russian officer. He was indoctrinated by special schools at a very impressionable age to enter the Soviet Russian Military as representative of the "Party". Only the top 1% were recruited directly into the KGB. Not only was Vladimir Putin in the top 1%, he was placed in East Berlin, thee primo Post. If NATO Command thinks Vladimir Putin would hesitate to capture, mistreat, or kill members of the new five-thousand strong "Quick Reaction Teams" they're sadly mistaken.

COLD WAR TACTIC: Provoking the "International Incident" followed by the public apology. "Oh Gee. I'm sorry, it was an Accident" (but your people are dead - attack me, I dare you).
