Are we enforcing standards and discipline? NCOs, do you think the discipline level is lower in the Army today? 2015-09-12T20:48:49-04:00 1SG Private RallyPoint Member 961850 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Do we require our Soldiers to stand at parade rest anymore. I can say that at times I wonder what the heck is wrong with NCOs these days and the answer is us. We are the Senior Leaders who must lead by example and correct indiscipline. Coach, Teach and Mentor! Don’t allow mediocre performance and training. Instill pride in those we supervise and train. We can and must make a difference. This slackened attitude starts in IET/BCT where Drill Sergeants' hands are tied behind their backs and TRADOC is concerned only about quantity vs quality of "Soldiers" graduated. It only gets worse from there. Discipline went first most of my service has 50 % drafted they had a gripe but wanted out to keep volunteers had to be nice and say please. The company was a unit deployed as a unit and we all came home from deployment togeather.piss and gripe Vietnam and transfer to the modern volunteer super trooper army. Had a hell of a job making it all work don&#39;t know if you can best of luck because full-time combat is More than most can take without some downtime looking forward to 20 years is to a lot.
