I was injured while on duty as Law Enforcement officer. How do I get disability pay from the VA because of my injury that is being treated through the VA?

Where you injured in the service as Air Force Security, or on a Civilian job? If the injury wasn't service related, it doesn't qualify for disability for pay. If it is service related and you had medical care while in the service, you can file for an increase online, through the patient advocate or through any of the Veteran Service Organizations.
That whole thing is a process and it isn't quick. 90 to 120 days would be normal.

Is your injury related to your military service? Were you already assigned percentage for the injury or is this a new addition? If this is something new you are adding you would need to submit a claim. You can submit yourself through ebenfits or through an advocate such as a VSO.

Yes i was injured while on duty. I was prescribed Vicodin and (PRP) while taking it so I couldn't carry my 38 special. HAHA. No I have not been assigned a percentage because of my injury. That is what I am trying to get. With none of the prescriptions, the traction or therapies listed in my file. I will try the ebenefits and see what happens. I seem to remember a letter I received some time ago that all the records that were at the base were destroyed somehow, so it might be hard to prove.
Thank you
Kenzie

A1C Kenzie Sailors - If you don't have records then you're looking at a battle.

A1C Kenzie Sailors - If you were medically treated in the Service, there should still be records of that treatment. VA is supposed to be able to look at all of that stuff. If you think your stuff was "lost", I would submit my claim through one of the VSO's. DAV does a good job in my area, but reach out to the Vet's in your area to see who they recommend.

When I was going through a similar situation, I found that the best way to start is by filing a claim through the VA’s Disability Compensation program. You’ll need to provide all your medical records, especially the ones linked to the injury you got while on duty. It might help to have a lawyer who knows the ropes, too. A Tulsa Personal Injury Attorney https://norwoodlegal.com/tulsa-personal-injury-attorney/ helped me when I was dealing with claims related to my injury, and they made the process much clearer. They really understand the steps you need to take and can give you the support you need.
