Im limited in that my resources are for the vets in my county but...

If you have va related questions, ask them here and i will try to help. I encourage ALL veterans to find and get to know their CVSO. That is County Veterans Service officer. We are a free to you resource not employed by the VA. We work for your local government and are usually very well versed in most yhings VA. Cant find yours? Let me know where you live..city & county only..... and i will locate yours for you..
I dont troll RP so if i take a day or two, its because I have been busy helping others.... Use us........

Another access to your nearest CVSO, TVSO, or VSO is
https://www.va.gov/ogc/apps/accreditation/
CVSO are paid by our counties, TVSO by their Tribe, VSO by the veteran organization they work for. Basically the same just CVSOs and TVSOs can be accredited with multiple VSO organizations.

Hi Jon - see you at the spring training!
To find your CVSO search under Find Service Officers on http://www.nacvso.org
To learn a little about various VA benefits go to, Series, Veterans Benefits on http://www.wiseye.org There you will see 8 Wisconsin CVSO/TVSO's talking about VA benefits.

I am pretty sure I went to the correct site and it doesn't appear there are any CVSOs in Washington State. Is that correct?

Does a CVSO have to be in the same location as the veteran?

Do you do any work with vets who are not local? I went to Seattle, WA Reg. Office and walked into the DAV. The VSAO asked me about what claim I was filing and named a handful. His response, "the only ones you can claim on are an increase in Type 1 Diabetes (already service-connected) and Major Depressive Disorder." I found someone on another veteran forum who I've given access to my medical records and she has found 23 claims located in my veteran and AD military records. To my knowledge she is not a VSO or a claims agent but was given training during a military contract as a nurse case manager.

Nearly all of the groundwork has been laid for my claims. What further help would a VSO or claim agent be at this point and/or is it critical to obtain someone different than I already have with DAV?
