Been called up for a few interviews but these people seem more concerned about my deployments and if I'm drawing disability or not then my job qualifications. I saved up a good sum of money before retiring but it's starting to get a little frustrating.Response by SFC Richard Giles made Jul 21 at 2016 12:14 PM2016-07-21T12:14:33-04:002016-07-21T12:14:33-04:00MSG Brad Sand1737395<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><br />First, you need to have solid answers for your own what, where and whys? If you have not had someone else look at your resume, you need to. If you want I will...the more suggestion you can get, the better...but remember it is your resume.Response by MSG Brad Sand made Jul 21 at 2016 12:20 PM2016-07-21T12:20:45-04:002016-07-21T12:20:45-04:00SSG Jeff Beltran1737422<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>SFC Giles,<br />Congratulations on your retirement. Just to double checking here. Have you gone through all your classes through the Soldier's for Life? You are still eligible for up to six month's I believe. How about Network? Filing for Disability process? I know there is a lot to do regarding seeking employment and it can be overwhelming at times. Schooling can help as far as additional income while you are seeking employment. Definitely, re-evaluate your need's, your goals and concern's with SFL and network. Myself, we were concern about employment and future income flow, after I got the final readings from the VA and pending Social Security. We haven't received our back pay yet for VA so it will be a while. Well, I hope that give's you encouragement and pray that you will be blessed in your transition back to the civilian life. No more PT or waking up early for now. :DResponse by SSG Jeff Beltran made Jul 21 at 2016 12:26 PM2016-07-21T12:26:51-04:002016-07-21T12:26:51-04:00Capt Brandon Charters1737860<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="740995" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/740995-sfc-richard-giles">SFC Richard Giles</a> Congrats on the upcoming retirement!
