Currently the FT Drum NEC has removed or taken away just about every administrative rights a certified Soldier should have, we can currently only submit tickets and maybe install local software. This makes me question why I should even try to become verified in the first place or encourage others to try, all my knowledge and talent is wasted as well as the Soldiers who are eager to learn.

Is there a way to push back against the NEC and regain the admin rights we should have as certified administrators?

Or are we stuck forgetting and not practicing our MOS? Network Enterprise Center too bloated. 2014-07-18T12:40:53-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 180992

I would like to know if other posts have the same issues with their NEC's as FT Drum does. They could network printers and the minimal type stuff and it was like that when I left. Where I work now, a lot of the problems we have are sent up to Ft. Meade. We do more than just unlocking account and passwords but a lot of things that could be handled here are not and I believe as the Army starts reducing numbers, both civilian and military, you will see a lot of the work being given back to the enablers. I say stay current on your certs and training so when they start looking to give back some power, you are ready for it and it will help them in their decision to do so.
