Sounds like another job for THE A-10, should close these camps damn quick. I mean are we really trying stop terrorism or not?

I would venture to say no. It is not easily that I come to this conclusion, either. If we truly wanted to stop it, we have the intelligence abilities to locate them, obviously. If we wanted to end them, we have the SOF & CAS abilities, obviously.
My only question is, why?

SSgt (Join to see) To expand on my pithy answer: I doubt there will be a "triumvirate" and I doubt Al Qaeda will ally with ISIL/Daesh. It appears Boko Haraam have thrown in, and I don't dispute that, but AQ's philosphy, theology and operations are pretty different from ISILs, and while ISIL may recruit from them (as you suggest) I don't see the organizations unifying.
ISIL doesnt need to export its people for training, it has the perfect training ground of war. Their operational goals seem very focused on territory, less interested in disruptive 'terror' attacks than AQ has been. Also I knee-jerk distrust anything from fox that has any room for opinion.

Excellent points Capt Richard I P.. I am just looking at it from the perspective of, "what would I do." I would attempt to pull from the ranks of dissident members of a similar organization to bolster my strength - using them to further my land grab, while keeping my core cadre in a more 'secure/safe' location to be used if need be. That's how I view them using BH or AQ, as pawns to get dirty work done, but when push comes to shove, they are still outsiders of the original group.

I noticed that, SFC James S. (man, I'm having a hard time linking you after your profile name change...lol). They are quietly spreading their influence w/o much notice by those of us conditioned to notice.

Keep in mind ISLAM is a nation not a religion, look at the societies in central and northern Europe, for example France, Sweden, Finland and other parts of the globe. What normally happens when two nations collide that are opposed culturally, religiously and socially. Why would your president bow to a Islamic head if state, uinder-stand what that really means. Look at your own country, Michigan, Texas, Ohio and what's going in front of your very eyes. The re-ask yourself that question. Understand the doctrine of ISLAM and you will began to see. Always follow the money where is the funding coming from for these so-called homegrown homegenous terror groups.
