To me, this move made the Return of the Peacetime all the more clear. The hard men and women who fought and survived the brutality of Iraq and Afghanistan are no longer needed. As combat deployments disappear, the dichotomy of experience levels will continue to blur, with combat or no combat no longer being a relevant measure of potential or success."<br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="http://terminallance.com/2015/01/23/terminal-lance-362-winter-is-coming-part-ii/">http://terminallance.com/2015/01/23/terminal-lance-362-winter-is-coming-part-ii/</a><br /><br />Now I wont say that the good Sgt Maj has no combat experience as he clear has an Iraq deployment under his belt but is likely reference his lack of a CAR.<br /><br />Regardless of what the Terminal Lance thinks, the Sgt Maj looks squared away with a decade of drill instructor experience. Generally during peacetime and troop reductions, garrison discipline goes up to keep the force sharp.
