New uniforms change July 1st!! https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/new-uniforms-change-july-1st <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Looking over military.org they say the army is going to three unifom starting July 1; ACUs, OCP (with tan shirt, belt &amp; shoes), and the scorpions (new u uniform with all brow shirt, belt &amp;boots) now I am PCSing to Germany soon... Do u think it would be a good idea to show up in the new uniform and conform to change (leading the change as NCOs should be) and if so is there an ALARACT message that covers this new change in AR 670-1?? Someone please help me out I also have soldiers in my unit asking about it and told the I&#39;ll ask &quot;rally point&quot; and should get an answer by the end of the day. Thanks again for your help Soliders and looking forward to see if someone knows more and if this is indeed an ALARACT message out there. See what others are wearing when you get there. Don&#39;t be that guy. It is a &quot;uniform&quot; after all, and if they have supply issues, you create the frankenformation. If you are there before the &quot;go live date&quot; and you have folks under your care, you can show them the new features, give classes, find out who has, doesn&#39;t have, etc. Then one 1 July &quot;go live.&quot; Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS Wed, 13 May 2015 09:59:06 -0400 2015-05-13T09:59:06-04:00 Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made May 13 at 2015 10:01 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/new-uniforms-change-july-1st?n=664227&urlhash=664227 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Nothing official (i.e. an ALARACT) has been published yet. The only thing I have seen from big Army is the slide showing the changes on the uniform and a slide presentation from DA G4 showing the dates the new uniform will be available at each installation. The slide show had 1 July at the first wave of locations. All the wear guidance information I have seen is not on official backgrounds and looks like draft info.<br /><br />My report date at Campbell after ILE is 15 July, I plan on showing up in the new uniform if if really is available 1 July. With the new uniform. I have only seen the published info everyone else has mentioned, but I go by the phlosphy that was put out about every other uniform change. It shows initiative and you care about your appearance by not waiting to the last minute. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 13 May 2015 10:10:16 -0400 2015-05-13T10:10:16-04:00 Response by COL Charles Williams made May 25 at 2017 1:38 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/new-uniforms-change-july-1st?n=2598841&urlhash=2598841 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes. So it would be great advise for you and your soldiers to stock up on The new PTs and uniform. Granted most people went for the IHWCUs, so basically you&#39;ll get people on both sides of the fence.<br /><br />To answer your question though, arriving at a new duty station in a new uniform is always a good thing. Gives a good first impression and just makes you look good and squared away, I say go for it.
