I think there should be an option where someone can create an old disbanded unit and have others approve the name then make it permanent. I clicked on the feedback tab after looking at the FAQ section. I laid out the unit chain, example: 95 Maint CO TMDE, Aviation and Missile Command, AMC at Redstone arsenal, al. Also told them which shoulder sleeve insignia to put with it. RP staff fixed it in 24 hrs. Served on 2 Nuclear Cruisers, They have been decommisioned and the names assigned to Submarines. When I was in CINCPACFLT and PACOM were different commands now they are one joint command it appears here. I retired from the Naval Security Group (Navy Spook) They Disestablished the Naval Security Group so there is no sign of them here (As a Navy Spook everything we do is smoke and mirrors needless to say they are still there and still here but under other names now). Also we returned 7 North Audley St (Ike's old HQ) back to the brits after I left so no mention of Naval Communications Unit London. Also I was Master at Arms to COMSPAWARSYSCOM Washington DC. Now COMSPAWARSYSCOM HQ is in California. Makes my head spin. All of my former units have moved, realigned, renamed or deactivated over the years and I don't really feel affiliated with the current or listed organizational structures. I spent most of my years in Europe where most of the units were actually forward deployed elements of larger regiments and others remained in Europe following the war and stayed there until they deactivated. Many deployed from Germany to Korea or even Vietnam and returned to Europe. So many different possibilities and I understand it but I would like to have the right patch with the right unit in the city under the command I served. They are becoming like the 101st. It is a sad day in our history to see this change taking place. "I was in 2/15 INF" ""THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A 2nd BN!!!!!!".............calm down, junior. The Army has been around long before you became Yoda (all wise, and all-knowing). 1/52 INF was at NTC before they became 2/11 ACR. The Army used to have OH-58D units that were Attack (Not CAV), weapons systems change, MOS's die out, KIOWAS GET RETIRED FROM INVENTORY (tear), and us old farts get to remember the "good old days." I was recently asked about operating M1As in Vietnam, because that is all that RP will display.<br /><br /> I was 1st Tanks, 1st Mar. Div. FMFWesPac, Danang RVN, NOT 1st Tanks, 1st MEF. now at 29 Palms.<br />My MOS was 1811 Tank crewman, now listed as something else.<br />My vehicle was a M48a3 Patton NOT M1A Abrams tank.<br />Pretty confusing all in all.
