This has entirely subsumed my previous identity. That makes it the most important factor for me when I exercise my citizenship: Who will be best for America overall?
While pay raises are nice, I'm not hurting. While enhanced career progression via growing the force would be swell, I want to know the cost. North Korea has a government that literally puts the military first and I'm not too keen on them.

What matters to me is: What candidate offers the platform that I believe is most likely to succeed in increasing economic prosperity, better outcomes across the spectrum of society, ensuring national security (through the use of all tools of diplomacy, to include the military spectrum from deterrence through total war), and still respect the Constitution.

The perfect candidate has never existed and I see very few whom I wouldn't start punching until I stopped feeling in a bar argument about politics on the horizon.
