Will having back to back nominative assignments be bad for ones career?

No, it could definitely help you out in the long run.

As long as these assignments do not have you working back to back out of your PMOS, I don't see how it would hurt. Of course you should still try to get a good variety of assignments (but could still be the case with back to back nominatives).
