The North Koreans saber rattled every time we (the US and S. Korea) held joint exercises. We were also told that the North had spies watching us outside the base too. I can see them attacking without noticed during one of the exercises. But they are full of hot air. They have never done anything to provoke a shooting match. The only way they would be able to be a real threat is if we sat on our assess and played the wait game until they finally got there hands on technology that could threaten us. I hope someone opens their eyes and does something before that happens. Kim Jung Un may be able to bully the people of his own nation however I don't think he fully understands what he's getting into. Now while I don't want to get into a war with the North Koreans I feel that without a doubt that we can take them in a fight should it come to it. Overall I think that they need to cut the shit and start treading carefully, but I know that won't happen. They have a 3-tiered attk plan that has been in place forever. Adding to that is modern technology with the firing of ICBM platforms which we scramble EW all over, that's why they fall down. Placing them back on a Terror Country List is the best thing right now with the UN to halt more trade opportunities esp. with China, who must continue pressuring them into submission. We fight asymmetrically now but the conventional approach (incl. a FLOT), to ANY engagement is certainly something we all know too well and would win, w/ Seoul suffering some heavy damage. Cutting the head off the snake is a step in the right direction providing we could pay agents enough to get in; it's what happened to his brother recently with poison so somebody could start with that.
