not trying to reclass anymore

So I reenlisted at the beginning of the year to reclass to 25L. The only reason I wanted to change job was to be able to become a NCO because I have almost 7 years in. I was told by a friend that I can get a memo to waive reclassing because I picked up. I hope this is true cause I love my job a d I don't want to reclass.
