Oath of Office, Commissioned Side or Warrant Side?

A matter of technicality and "common knowledge", my instinct filling out and a new DA-71 Oath of Office to regular Army, is to do so on the "Warrant Officer" side. I've received conflicting information in light of going from "appointed reserve" to Regular Army Commissioned Officer. AR 601–100, AR 135–155, and Army Regulation 135-100 don't say, and I'm not finding an associated DA PAM.

You are a commissioned officer. You fill out the same side as every other commissioned Officer. The DA 71 is in need of a serious tweeking.

Dig in to title 10 of the us code. That is where i get the right answer most times. There is a whole lot of information there not covered in DOD publications.

It's been a couple of days, but the Regular Army paperwork does not happen until you make CW3. You will stay a Reserve Officer until then. The commissioning paperwork was/is more along the lines of Command, NJP, Re-enlistment type things. I did it when I made CW2, it was pretty basic and simple, didn't really change my life. I only did one re-enlistment for a great NCO I knew.

The only appointed warrant officers are WO1. All CW2 and above are commissioned. Regardless of compo

Warrant officers became commissioned during 1980s.. no more appointed. They are allowed to command units.
