WASHINGTON -- Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) came out in favor of the Iran nuclear deal on Tuesday, calling his decision a "very hard choice" and putting the Obama administration within one vote of a victory.
Coons is the 33rd Senate Democrat to come out in favor of the deal, which curbs Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for some sanctions relief provided by President Barack Obama. The president only needs one more Senate Democrat in support of the deal to reach 34, the number needed to sustain his veto on a resolution of disapproval.

I don't think it matters whether he gets the votes or not. Even without the votes, he'll still win and this really bad, awful, horrible insane deal he's made with IRAN will go through. We'll give them billions of dollars, lift sanctions and pray nothing bad happens.

Either we do the deal and get something out of it, or we don't do the deal and the sanctions expire anyway when the international community decides not to keep them going, which is a very real and likely possibility. I really don't see why people are against this. If we don't make a deal, they get what they want and we get nothing.

Have you noticed that every debate comes down to threats against the military. His latest threat being a government shutdown that he knows will hurt military active and veterans and even more puts every Islamic state in a position over power over us.

He must have plenty of blackmail over the country. This is a massive attempt to overthrow the government and way of life. Impeach immediately and prosecute as a war criminal. You simpleminded liberals should be ashamed and embarrassed. Thanks for discounting our dead's heroic efforts. Dead and forgotten and sold by DOD and ignorant young military types.

Great, About Time. Either we Contributed and got our two cents in or our Allies in the Blockade would have made the deal without us. We are not God, Dad or Big Brother and a lot of our even closest allies aren't always pleased with our Hollier than thou attitude and consider us all Right Wing Extremist. I think President Obama Struck while the Iron was hot to make the best deal possible. 2 Tours "Babysitting" Iran and I don't quite view them as the threat that others have that Haven't Parked off Bushear make them out to be.
