What are the chances they will switch me from being stationed at Fort Stewart to Hunter Army Airfield during in-processing? I only ask since 2ABCT is deactivating and they will be moving Soldiers around. I have a house lined up and could look at/accept it this week. I am hesitant not knowing for sure I will be on Fort Stewart. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Thank you in advance.

SPC Long, likely you will be assigned to one of the other BCTs on Ft Stewart given your MOS. What you could do is ask the in-processing NCO about who you can talk to that cuts your orders for assignment. Even if they are not ready to pass out, the person may be able to at least give you the heads up if you will remain at Ft Stewart or assigned to HAAF. This way you can get a better feel about your future work location and know if the house will work out for you or not. I would like to say that person can at least let you know for sure if its FSGA or HAAF at the least.
