Too much sensitivity I say. I am going to say YES and make sure that they issue two sets in case one gets too dirty. I fear that we as the Army have created this along with the environment that they grew up in. They come in feeling more entitled than we used to, we used to be treated a certain way in basic that in NO WAY would be tolerated today. Contributing to the softness. We have to be careful about the way that we handle corrective training unlike when we were privates because otherwise it could be considered hazing. To us, it was just being "smoked." We were smoked, then we went on with our day making sure that we did not do that again because it something that would get us smoked. In basic, getting rolled left and rolled right in pit for an extended period of time, was just how it was. Now our Drills are hand tied. The result, soft privates coming to force as opposed to the higher quality that used to arrive ready to fight.
