It won't be to many years before they are gone and no one will know what they have done for our country.

I thoroughly enjoy listening to their stories and recollections during WWII. I am so thankful they paved the paths for the rest of us to join and do what we have done. Salutes and Respect to America's greatest generation for all they have given us.

Oldest surviving WWII veteran recalls service

MARTINSBURG, W.VA.— Charles P. I just think of all of the amazing discoveries that they witnessed during their life time. Granted not all are for the better, but that doesn't make them less amazing.
What makes his story even more touching to me is the story of a black man serving during segregation, without being bitter about it. Certainly he would have had every right to do so. From the article, Mr. Clark sounds like the type of person you could spend an entire day listening to his stories without feeling like you had spent a whole day.
Thank you to Mr. Clark, and to all who served.
