Thank You Brother Steve for this topic. I will be honoring those that didn't make it back. I will especially be remembering Doug Lohmeyer who I went to high school with. I saw him in Viet Nam just before I left. He didn't make it home. I'll also be honoring my Dad.

As I have done every year since 1973 I will be honoring Maj Nutter J. Wimbrow with a shot of straight vodka at 1200 on Memorial Day. Vodka shots were his drink of choice and I shared many with him at the club bars at UTapao and Anderson. Sadly he was shot down on a tour that he didn't have to be on, he was a batchelor who volunteered to replace a married EWO on an Arc Light tour. https://opvets.org/nutter-jerome-wimbrow-iii/

John O. Dawson, served with Co. H, 7th Missouri State Militia Cavalry during the Civil War, W.I.A.
Jacob Dawson: My brother's son, 94F, Ft. Drum, died way too soon, kidney failure.
Living in Denmark it is illegal for me to fly the Stars & Stripes unless I have permission from the police. I will fly my Colors Monday, no matter what .
I have one cousin who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, one who served in the "Silent Service", others who were in the Idaho National Guard.
