Since you are PCSing to Rucker, you will have at least 10 days before you start WOCS after reporting to figure everything out. It is one of the only things we were allowed to have preflighted. In addition to having it sewn on your tops, have your nametape sewn onto your PC as well. You won't be able to keep anything velcro'd on your uniform until your Morale Officer submits a pre-flighting memo. They could submit this memo on Day 0 but it will almost certainly not get approved until week 3 or so. They may not be different in styles in reference to Velcro and stitched. Those rule does not, in fact apply to the patrol cap. So, for example, according top regulation, you may wear a sewn on jacket, and a clip on patrol cap, and vice versa.
