On the FY18 SFC BOARD, do you think your CMF will pick up a lot, a little, or about the same as last year?

Milper message for 2018 SFC board. Just came out, with everything going on with the military. What do you think will be the outcome... a good amount of people getting their promotable status? I am personally a 91b and for 91 I think it’ll be a 33 percent pick up rate out of around 1200 Ssg I think it will be solid. Thoughts?

Same. They’re projecting promotion requirements all the way out to the September 2020 promotion month. I think it will be lengthy.

Well if you look at the average of the last 2 years, its been pretty high. As far as what the 91 series looks like, I think it will be about 40%. I am glad they have finally posted the MILPER Message and hoping to seeing my name on that list, watch to many people that don't deserve it get it. Waiting for so long and with just hitting 17 years in, its about time for me to move to the side and allow all the new and upcoming ones attempt to hit it. We shall see. We'll see in the 92Y side of the house. I hope that we have a solid year since the Army is increasing in size and what not. Hopefully, that means more slots for Senior ranks. Either way, good luck to you brother.

Well, this year is going to be a big deciding factor for a lot SSG's looking at SFC. Do I think I will get picked up I have no idea it's all about how you look on paper, but I am a 15W so it's looking pretty solid for this side of the house so far. Just waiting patently for this list to populate on the 19th.
