Other than Drill Sgt and Recruiter, what other military occupations require a higher standard in Pt?

I was talking with a few friends, and the heightened scale came up for recruiter school. Does this last throughout your time as a recruiter, or is it only for school? Also, what other schools have the heightened requirements. Trust me, I have no problem with either, just curious.

I never heard of higher PT standards for Recruiters. If that's the case, bravo. That's great. I was a recruiter from 2010-2013 and there was so many dirt bags that never did PT.
As for other occupations that have higher PT standards, try out for special operations. They require for one to get at least 70 in each event in the PT test, but if one fails the other PT events, then they get kicked out.

I believe to go to OCS, one must have a fairly high APFT score as an unwritten rule.

The stress on scoring 70% or higher on your APFT was stressed in Drill Sergeant School.

If you are an NCO then you MUST live Be, Know and Do. A Drill Sergeant "will lead by example, never requiring a soldier to attempt any task I would not do myself." You must pass with 70% on all three parts to graduate.

Units in USASOC have a 70% minimum on all three parts of the APFT.

Airborne school requires you to pass the APFT on the 18-21 year old scale regardless of your age.

Master Fitness Trainer school requires an 80 in each event just to get into the course.

I recruited from 05-07 and PT was pretty much an afterthought. A couple of times a month we would meet up as a company and do PT, but it was generally something like basketball or volleyball. We did PT tests, but there were a handful of senior recruiters/station commanders who were ALWAYS graders and I don't think I ever saw them do one themselves. Many of them were probably also busting tape. We also used to do DEP PT every week or so, but it wasn't anything intense and it was really geared towards getting them used to the drills and commands.

When I went to Air Assualt School in 1985 had to take APFT score 80 in each event in 18-21 yrs old range, after that had to complete obstacle course within 30 min and then run 4 miles in 32 min in formation wearing boots. That was just to get in.

What do you mean by "higher standard"? Higher scores, or a more rigid adherence to form?

I can tell you that if they follow the plan, higher physical demand MOSs will have a higher minimum score on the new test. So, infantry, engineers. Arty, CBRN, and Paralegal Specialist (they have to carry all those heavy legal books around), will all have higher minimums

The highest pt expectations come from special forces! And special forces have other pt expectations that aren’t expected of normal military personnel. Special forces also aim to keep their personnel at the 18-early 20s range. For those commenting about the command grading I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone in high command do a pt test a lot of which are probably over tape.

I would definitely put Fire Protection Specialist up there. Step off the truck and between bunker clothes (coat, pants, boots, helmet, gloves) and air pack, gain about 75-100 pounds instantly, add another 25 for light, radio, forcible entry tool of choice be it axe, haligan, or pry axe, plus dragging a charged guideline, one gets physically taxed pretty quickly.

I went to Airborne school right after I finished recruiting, ohhhh boy what a change, I’m glad I was one of the recruiters that did PT on my own because we didn’t have the time between getting into MEPS very early and staying late, my station we did PT in the afternoon but I was not something big , many times we had DEPs that wanted to get in shape before going into basic training or prospects that were a little over weight we try to instill some determination and motivation to get them ready.
