For a general discharge unless the underlying &quot;offense&quot; would cause a ban (such as workplace or domestic violence), it is unlikely. However, for BCDs and Dishonorable Discharges it is probable the installation policy includes an automatic ban. I seem to remember that the Disciplinary Control Board here at Ft Leavenworth issued a ban letter prior to a prisoner&#39;s parole. If your spouse is banned, they will receive a letter with the restrictions and any exceptions such as legal appoints.
