If you go to page 74 of the new DA PAM, the illustration of the female PFC in her ASU's is wearing a stripe down her leg (the bottom half of which is identical to the picture of the NCO on page 73... lazy illustrator...)... C'mon Army, it's not like this was put together in a hurry or at the last second....

As a Illustrator myself, it's not that difficult to spot that black line on the pants. Some 25M soldier or civilian needs some corrective training. Some four count military presses with pencils will fix the issue...LOL

They also have tab precedence as "Ranger, Special Forces, Sapper" and then the drawing on the next page has the Special Forces tab over the Ranger tab. Proofread much?

How about this one from the DA PAm?

Chief warrant officer 4.The insignia is a silver-colored bar, 1/4 inch in width and 3/4 inch in length, with four

silver squares centered on the bar, positioned parallel to, and at each end, of the shoulder strap.

I think a silver bar with silver squares is going to look a little too much like another rank insignia.

Well I emailed the pentagon's G1 this afternoon. And a Maj that does publication corrections at Ft. Leavonworth. He said it was an organizational concern and they may or may not even response to my email, well they did. SMA Chandler knocks on my door, SSG Hasbun, your name is the first one to come out of my mouth.

Page 74 of DA PAM 670-1 illustrates a junior enlisted Soldier in ASU's with NCO embroidery on trousers. The rank is that of a PFC.

(4) Enlisted personnel (specialist and below) wear no ornamentation on the outside of the seam of the slack leg. It could mislead lower subornidates to adhere to this photo.

Submitted initial concern to G-1 publications FAQ summary with an "undeliverable email" message. The address was [login to see] .mil

DA PAM 670-1 recommended this email to address errors of publications.

DA FORM 2028 doesn't seem necessary as this isn't a significant policy change and shouldn't require chain of command endorsement.

I'm aware that the comments should be submitted using the standardized comment matrix primer for RAR implementation, but again the format from TRADOC Reg 25-36 is too formal and the editor has already extinguished the time constraint.

I'm almost positive if everyone on RallyPoint tried we could effectively fix
everything about it, including the ancient drawings, verbiage, typos, etc.

Everyone is represented here; I doubt there is anything there that couldn't be
covered by this community.
