Do the Marines really need new rifles? Is the M4 really that old? We have been using Army hand me downs forever. We use outdated equipment with better outcomes than that equipment had when it was the Army standard; not because we are that good, which we are, but because we have to.

I didn't think the question was serious. HOWEVER, I do think the Corps should adopt a newer piston operated rifle to replace the gas impingement M-16/M-4. Whether it be the M-27 or some other similar system, I think it is time for change.
