What is my vision for the group or team. What specific accomplishments can I or my team achieve in the day, week, etc. Have I provided all the guidance, training, tools needed to execute.Response by LTC John Shaw made Jan 3 at 2016 3:56 PM2016-01-03 15:56:17 -05002016-01-03 15:56:17 -0500PO1 John Miller1212721

Great questions:
If I may be allowed to answer them (speaking only for myself of course):

1. However the context are meaningful, as we already understand what the effects of prolonged sleep deprivation can likely be. Question three is a classic which every leader should carry in his/her "fix it now" kit. All are questions that every leader should, ask of both themselves and their led...Response by SFC Eric Williams made Jan 3 at 2016 5:04 PM2016-01-03 17:04:30 -05002016-01-03 17:04:30 -0500MSgt Private RallyPoint Member1222244

All great questions. And since we're discussing leadership approach, I think it's worthwhile to ask a few more questions:

1) Would I follow and respect me?

2) Would I look up to myself as a mentor/role model?

3) Would I see my own actions, and BELIEVE that I am doing my best as a leader?

Asking yourself these questions, while trying to put yourself in the mindset and shoes of your subordinates, can be quite eye opening.

I recently had some struggles with BEING a leader for my Airmen, as well as having their respect. I was made aware of my own actions as well as the situation at hand, and I took a step back and thought about these questions. I must say, it has made quite the difference in my leadership approach, my working relationship with my subordinates, and even helped me to not have to worry as much as I had in the past regarding your first question... Your third question helps find a solution to my three questions, and acting upon the solution can help to resolve your first two questions.Response by MSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 7 at 2016 11:43 PM2016-01-07 23:43:27 -05002016-01-07 23:43:27 -0500SGT Private RallyPoint Member1320283

Interesting, I'll have to think these over and reply when I get a chance.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 22 at 2016 12:53 AM2016-02-22 00:53:01 -05002016-02-22 00:53:01 -05002016-01-03 15:49:29 -0500
