I don't think transportation can change your fight unless your orders state it. You need to go talk to S1 and transportation. You tell personnel you want leave in route. After they amend your orders you go to transportation and work out the particulars. Thank you for your service. You have to talk to the transportation office. There is a charge to change the tickets to your new departure location. Plus, if the total of the new tickets cost more, you have to pay the difference as well. In addition, if you fail to make it to your Port call for any reason, you will be responsible for the cost of Transportation to your new Duty station. Getting the Army to pay can be difficult, but if you pay out of pocket, they still should reimburse you the cost from the original port to Hawaii (taxi fare included). If they give you a ticket and you pay out of pocket still, you most likely won’t be reimbursed. So yes, but talk around and see what your options are Sir. You show a departure date from DEN.

I would make sure your DTS approving official understands what you are doing.

You will also have to adjust your dates if you are getting per firm, as you can’t be on leave and traveling at the same time. Good luck. Response by SSgt Dwight Deatherage made Sep 21 at 2018 1:04 PM 2018-09-21T13:04:11-04:00 2018-09-21T13:04:11-04:00 2018-09-20T16:57:50-04:00
