So yes, about to move to the North West and have been on the east coast my whole life. Looking for advice on off base housing and a high schools.
I have a wife who's first language is Spanish and a daughter who will no doubt be graduating from high school in Washington.
I would like to be off base but within 20 minutes of Base. I hear the I5 is a nightmare. Any suggestions to include information about electric heat or gas? Unsure of utility costs.
Would imagine I probably will deploy at some point so, most important is safety for my family and close to resources.

I LOVED my home in DuPont and I specifically picked it for the schools. My address was 1487 Heath Court, Dupont, WA 98327. If this house is available, grab it. You will not be sorry. The middle school is within walking distance. All of the neighbors are friendly and it is on a quiet, safe cul de sac.

thank you for the information. I have been going back and forth between DuPont and Lacey but more to DuPont due to I5 traffic congestion. What were your utility bills like...ie. electric, water, gas, trash.

It's been years so I don't remember. I'm sorry. It was a townhouse so it was not bad. If it had been, I would have remembered.

You are probably already arrived. The utilities depends on the time of the year that the cost varies. Water on a Average $35 to $45. Gas- Summer $40 to $60 Winter- $90-$180. Electric - Bi-Monthly $75 to $150.
