Both units gaining and losing are tracking and are aware that I have signed out of my current post but SATO won’t give me a flight due to it being past my report date. What is the plan I need to follow I placed in 4187 with branch but haven’t heard anything in two weeks? It will most likely require Command intervention to reach out and coordinate with the travel office to check the right boxes SSgt Christophe Murphy Mon, 31 Jan 2022 10:49:36 -0500 2022-01-31T10:49:36-05:00 Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 31 at 2022 10:49 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/pcs-missed-report-date-due-to-covid-what-needs-to-happen?n=7505520&urlhash=7505520

Well, one possible way is to contact HRC to see if they have new orders with a new report date. Or, contact gaining unit to see if they can push it to HRC for new orders with a new report date. You could also try purchasing your own plane ticket (last ditch effort right here) and then submit for reimbursement after you arrive. You’ll need to contact them to get your orders amended with a new report date. You’ll also need to document your medical treatment so that you won’t get charged for annual leave (your either on medical leave or convalescent leave). The MILPO office at your old installation (the same people who cut your orders) are responsible for cutting the amendment. It’s one paragraph. The admin NCO or 1SG at your old unit can amend your leave form. Your new unit, the S1 shop and the finance office are all going to want your original orders and amendments to calculate your actual travel time, your medical leave, and your annual leave time. The remarks section of your leave form can document all those dates. Remember that old Army saying: “If it isn’t documented, it didn’t happen.” You can’t just show up at your new duty station 2 or 3 weeks late and tell them “I had COVID.” I know this will come as a shock to everyone on RP, but on very rare occasions Soldiers lie. Document, document, document.
Good luck.
