<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Currently in Korea. I will be reenlisting here in the next few months. I'm trying to decide between Ft. LeonardWood and Hawaii. I'm a MP so going to the home of the corps would be great for career progression. On the other hand Hawaii would be a great black for school opprotunities as well with a great location. I would like to have some insight into both. I am a single soldier also. So no one to really think about besides myself.Mon, 18 Aug 2014 06:23:21 -0400PCS Options. Help decide!

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I just came from Lost in the Woods. Its not for me. Everything is hours away. I mean if you like driving then i guess it isn't to bad, there is no nightlife which was big for me when i was single.<br />Being married there were no decent paying jobs for my wife. it was so bad she went back to ft lewis and got her old job back while i finished the last year of AIT PSG. <br />Freaking BCT and AIT Soldiers...EVERYWHERE. So be very careful. Don't even make a correction towards them let their DS or PSG handle it. <br />Good things:<br />You get ALOT of house for the money there. I mean a lot if you stay off post. There is no traffic to get on and off base, if you are an outdoorsman its a great area.<br /><br />Thats just my opinion on Leonardwood...have funSFC Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 18 Aug 2014 10:54:26 -04002014-08-18T10:54:26-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 18 at 2014 8:17 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Go to Leonardwood. Provided you do good things and keep your head in the game, you have so many opportunities to shine there. Think about it..... ALC, SRT, PSD, ABIC, Drill Sergeant, AIT PSG, MPI, CID there is so many things to choose from. The only reason I didnt go there is because I hate the weather and my allergies cant stand that place. Go with your gut instinct but also use the MP Professional Development Map as your guide.....It will help you if you make a career out of this. Good Luck. <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I beg you to start working/continue working towards your degree. With all these cutbacks the college grads will have the better chance to do their 20. Just my opinion and we all know about opinions :)SFC Mark MerinoTue, 19 Aug 2014 02:58:28 -04002014-08-19T02:58:28-04:00Response by SGT Kristin Wiley made Aug 20 at 2014 1:29 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm in Hawaii as a single soldier, and I personally think it is awful. It's full of deployment shammers, regulation nazis (I've been corrected a few times when I was in the right), and overcrowded with all branches. Don't let the white sand beaches fool you, you won't get to spend much time on them.SGT Kristin WileyWed, 20 Aug 2014 01:29:24 -04002014-08-20T01:29:24-04:00Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 23 at 2014 2:02 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm an mp in Hawaii. I don't know who told you that Hawaii is good for school opportunities but its really not. There are schools here but the MPs are given very few slots. At Leonard Wood you can at least do walk ins.SSG Private RallyPoint MemberSat, 23 Aug 2014 14:02:13 -04002014-08-23T14:02:13-04:002014-08-18T06:23:21-04:00
