I was stationed there and worked in the TMC you are headed to for 3 years. The workload isn't too bad there, although while I was there they messed with the Ambulance duty schedule and it threw everything off for a bit, but it was fixed when I left. The building was supposed to go through some major renovations before I left, and should be complete by now. Single soldier barracks are new and nicely setup with most having their own kitchen with stoves. If you have any specific questions just let me know I'll do my best to answer them.
Response by SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 14 at 2014 3:22 AM 2014-03-14T03:22:13-04:00 2014-03-14T03:22:13-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 1488226

I was there for four years. I would say, don't bother with trying to ship a vehicle. It's cheaper and easier to buy one there. Do learn some Japanese. All the Japanese people on post speak English but it will help you when are out and about. And finally, get off post and go places. There is a lot to see and do there.
