Pentagon OKs Manning transfer to civilian prison for gender treatment

I called this one in a previous discussion. Looks like Manning will be transferred out of Leavenworth to a civilian prison where 'he' can live as a 'she' and receive hormone therapy. I'm sure he/she appreciates your tax dollars!
Meanwhile Hagel still wants to study the possibility of transgendered individuals serving.

I'm OK with those wanting to serve to serve, even as transgendered. Its still a keep your hands to yourself setup. However, our tax payer dollars going to a criminal for gender reassignment surgery is crap. Vote out all incumbents this fall!

I don't really care if someone is transgendered as long as they can do the job. That said...this is waste and abuse for the tax payers. We have Vets with deeper issues that are unable to get the help they need. Spend my tax dollars on them...spend my tax dollars on the national deficit (not that it would make a dent). If a Manning wants this manning needs to pay for it like every other transgendered person that wants to do it.

I think this is an abuse of tax dollars. This person is in prison. Why should he/she get any special privileges? The government should be ashamed and some politician needs to call the pentagon out on this.
As for transgender serving, I could care less but I think you shouldn't be able to come into the army until your transformation is complete. That way there is no confusion on the gender and the military will not be stuck footing hormone and surgery bills.

Manning, a former intelligence analyst in Iraq, was convicted in 2013 of leaking more than 700,000 secret military and State Department documents and battlefield video to Wikileaks. Manning served nearly only seven years of a 35-year sentence at Fort Leavenworth. Manning was known as Bradley Manning before transitioning in prison. Paid for by the highly endorsed give away programs paid for off the backs of soldiers doing without.

Manning, a native of Crescent, Oklahoma, was convicted in a military court martial of 20 counts, including six Espionage Act violations, theft and computer fraud. Manning was acquitted of the most serious charge of aiding the enemy.

So they could get out of shooting the scum bag after decades of appeal and knowing Barrack was going to write a pardon.

Manning acknowledged leaking the materials, wanting to expose the U.S. military's disregard about the effects of war on civilians. Manning released information that Manning believed would harm the U.S. in Manning's opinion.

Manning was arrested in 2010, and came out as transgender after being sentenced. Filed a transgender rights lawsuit and attempted suicide twice last year, according the lawyers.

Lawyers said Manning was subjected to violence in prison and argued the military mistreated him by requiring him to serve her sentence in an all-male prison, restricting his physical and mental health care, and not allowing him to wear a feminine-style haircut.

That little scum bag filed a law suit. Only in this country that he / it betrayed would such a thing occur.
Officers and Senior NCO's your people will be harmed by this now and in the future. Take a oath, sign the secrets act and because you are above all that military stuff betray, refuse to obey orders, whine you are mixed up gender person and someone like Barrack Hussein will bail your scum bag body out.

Think about it again Wesemann. Manning will not be paying for it. You will.
