PFC nearing warrant packet completion https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/pfc-nearing-warrant-packet-completion

PFC Todt here, I'm near the completion of my warrant packet for 153a. I just took my sift exam and scored lower than what I was aiming for; I scored a 54. Now it's time for me to start searching for LoRs. I want to get at least 4 letters from CW4 and CW5s. The other only thing I have left is my DA photo which is scheduled for July 7. I scheduled it late because currently my erb has no weapons qual on it so I'm waiting to see if my unit will have weapons qual before I do my picture so I can wear a qual badge. I'm being very optimistic about the outcome of this- flying helicopters is my dream; it's the reason I left college and joined the army. To help my packet I worked hard to get a promotion waiver to pfc, I'm currently 8 months in service. I also have one year of college, a 75 ASVAB, 114 gt score, and 247 pt score. I'm also going for soldier of the month in July to try to get an AAM. since I scored lower than I had anticipated on the sift I was wondering where else I can make it up on my packet? I have about a month left because I want to submit it for the July 15 deadline. What do you guys think my chances are?
Also I'm suppsed to be deploying soon so I'm not sure how that will affect my processing since the board is in September.
I know I covered a lot here so any feedback at all is greatly appreciated! The July 153a board was cancelled and moved with the Sept one, so there should be a lot of open slots, as well as a lot of applications with expired documents I imagine since the board for July was moved back. Yea we're on a site its 99.9% military but this sites domain in still .com meaning all of things can still be seen by the general public. What would have really helped is your college transcripts, get back to school as soon as you can. Good luck. He has a bachelors degree works for a major tech firm in marketing and is in Civil Air Patrol; he was rejected for a minor eye problem but it applying for a waiver. It is very competitive as the Army is drawing down. Advice for now--make sure you submit exactly whats on the application-You should send more letters of recommendation than required if they give you the option to do so. As others have said make sure, its complete; check grammar and spelling etc. Make sure all documentation an actions are on time. If something is to Be mailed give extra time for the Post Office. The USPS isnt known for timeliness! If you are not accepted this time, keep working on you education, try again when you make E5 and have at least 2 years of college or preferably a bachelors. Whatever you do, continue your civilian education using your tuition assistance and GI bill benefits, wear your uniform correctly and proudly and be a team player. Support your fellow soldiers and seek/take advice from your experienced soldiers/NCOs. Good luck in your career. Do well in the APFT, and create your Info Sheet to give to officers who are writing the letters of recommendation.
