<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So you got a VA rating while in service and they kicked you out with severance or medical discharge? What were you rated when they discharged you? Also did you go through a PDES process to assess fit or unfit status.CPO Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 04 Jun 2019 10:35:17 -04002019-06-04T10:35:17-04:00Response by Christopher Larsen made Mar 29 at 2020 12:34 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It depends on your percentage and what you're rated for. I know a couple people that are still serving in the NG with 90% disability. I know probably 100+ soldiers that have some level of rating that are still serving. It could set off further evaluation and a med board process. With that much TIS, the worst case would be that you're medically retired and get to start drawing retirement pay immediately.CPT Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 19 May 2020 06:31:48 -04002020-05-19T06:31:48-04:00Response by CPO Private RallyPoint Member made May 19 at 2020 7:01 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hey I was rated 50% overall hand, knees, depression. 17yrs in as of now. I was rated 9 months ago.<br />I was not referred for discharge or severance. I'm drilling as reservesit as normal. But I get a reduced VA payment because of drill pay.CPO Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 19 May 2020 07:01:26 -04002020-05-19T07:01:26-04:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made May 19 at 2020 10:35 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>PHA are just an evaluation to see if you need any references for additional care, and they also collect statistical information to look for correlation and trends across services, MOS's, locations, etc. You can have a disability rating and be a Reservist, it's pretty common. A PHA can't refer you to a med board, only a provider can do that.SFC Private RallyPoint MemberTue, 19 May 2020 10:35:26 -04002020-05-19T10:35:26-04:00Response by CPO Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 24 at 2021 11:30 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>To put everyone at ease. I was rated 50%. I Have done 2 PHAs since then, it even asked what I was rated on PHA paperwork. No alarm bells went off, CO/XO have signed my yearly form with no issues never asked about what health problems were. And I have gone AD for short periods of time with no admin issues.CPO Private RallyPoint MemberWed, 24 Feb 2021 11:30:25 -05002021-02-24T11:30:25-05:002019-06-03T23:08:17-04:00
