A tribute to those fallen heroes is being assembled at: <a target="_blank" href="http://www.patriotsparade.org">http://www.patriotsparade.org</a> <br /><br />They're building an online, virtual wall to honor the fallen by submitting photos of the ones we have lost since 9/11. I recommend we replicate this effort on RallyPoint by posting the name and a photo of the fallen service member here as well. At the website, you can also take an additional step and achieve a "personal summit" and share a photo of a 3'x5' special edition flag, if you choose.<br /><br />I'll start by sharing a photo of Army PFC Raymond J. Faulstich, Jr. who died Aug. 5, 2004. He was a good family friend. We went to church with his parents. I still see his parents when I visit my family. He made the ultimate sacrifice in the Wardak Province, Afghanistan on August 6, 2011 during Extortion 17. He was laid to rest in Arlington. Rest in peace, brother. We made it through Iraq and Afghanistan. He died of complications from a Jump Injury at Fort Bragg. He is buried in Spring Lake, NC. DeTample may have been small in stature, but not in courage.<br /><br />“All 130 pounds of Nate were always ready to stand tall and take on someone twice his size,” said the Rev. David Farina, pastor of the Calvary Full Gospel Church.<br /><br />DeTample, 19, of Morrisville, Pa., died Aug. 9 in Bayji after coming under attack. He was based in Philadelphia.<br /><br />A wrestler, an Eagle Scout and a criminal justice major at Shippensburg University, DeTample impressed all with a dogged willingness to serve.<br /><br />“He led the charge since the day I met him. We were in ROTC together and he got the call, decided to go on his deployment instead of contracting, and was killed the summer before our Sophmore year. He was always a character and would constantly get himself in trouble and was generally given extra PT and duties to make up for it.
