Piece of stolen military statue, sold as scrap metal, recovered in Florida

I almost wonder if this didn't have ulterior motives, as well? There was another story recently where a city was trying to block a memorial in the same shape - boots, rifle, & helmet - because "it could promote gun violence".

Cuz, you know, its the gun that is violent, not the person wielding said gun...
