It just makes no sense to me. Is the fact that Officer Wilson died doing his duty make it easier for the public to accept and not protest? Would it be different had he not been a Police Officer and simply been a private citizen with a concealed deadly weapon carry permit?

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Accused-Murderer-Arraigned-in-Hero-Officer-Robert-Wilsons-Death-295472711.html?_osource=outbrain_recirc=obinsite

Accused Murderer Arraigned in Hero Officer's Death

One of two brothers accused of the murder of Philadelphia Police Officer Robert Wilson III was arraigned overnight Friday.

Sun, 08 Mar 2015 21:21:22 -0400 Police Officer shot & killed in Philadelphia, PA https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/police-officer-shot-killed-in-philadelphia-pa

I've been in the active duty US Army for almost three decades straight, and been deployed multiple times to many countries and continents. Uhlig. It is indeed difficult to explain. It seems that if a cop is killed on the line of duty it is expected or comes with the territory for too many. This Officer served his city honorably and was gunned down doing his job. I will wait for the outrage from the "community leaders" but I suspect I will see little.

There will be a funeral with plenty of law enforcement in attendance, the media will cover it and then it will be done. No protests, not crowds in the streets etc. Cpl Jeff N. Now, law enforcement is the bad guy, along with law abiding citizens who carry weapons, and even our own military. There are no cries from the Al Sharptons of the world, because it doesn't fit their agenda. In fact, IF he was FOR Black people, he would be all over this, but he's not.

Another man lost his life, doing his job, (for no good reason at all) and America falls silent. Shameful. SPC Patrick Gearardo Mon, 09 Mar 2015 00:31:15 -0400 2015-03-09T00:31:15-04:00 Response by CMC Robert Young made Mar 9 at 2015 9:42 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/police-officer-shot-killed-in-philadelphia-pa?n=521660&urlhash=521660

The part that outrages me the most about this is that after all the "Black Lives Matter" protests, nobody has expressed concern about the police officer's life; a black police officer. Why is that black lives matter after they commit strong armed robbery and then assault a police officer but not when they die defending the community. After 30 plus years in law enforcement, I have had enough of the race baiters spouting off in self righteous indignation over dead criminals, but not a word about the death of a hero; an honorable man who died doing something noble and far beyond the capacity of the Al Sharptons of the world. Somebody get back to me when Reverend Al leads a march in Philadelphia about the murder of a black police officer......by black suspects.....a point (the 800 pound gorilla in the room) which nobody has discussed.

The sad fact is that during the last two generations in America (my lifetime), we as a society have lost all ability to call things what they are.....most assuredly one of those things is evil. Political correctness, and people with self serving agendas coupled with sensationalized 24 hour a day news reporting is leading to the demise of what was once the greatest country on the planet.

What we failed to embrace is that Good Lives matter (of all races/creeds/colors/origins), and others (black or white or Hispanic or Asian or whatever) should suffer the consequences of their failures to live by the rules of civilize society. Hiding behind your color is not a defense for being a thug.

How can we as a country be outraged over the death of a criminal, but not of an honorable man who gave his last full measure that others may live??

Master chief rant complete. Out. Any attempt to perform these duties out of motivation other than service to mankind will result in spectacular failure:

- Priest / Pastor
- Doctor / Nurse
- Teacher
- Police

The people who follow a career in one of these fields out of hope of personal gain find themselves in the most detestable of situations, and quite frequently in the age of information on the national stage.

The right person in these fields are the best of the best, hero's walking among us. The wrong person in the fields are a national embarrassment. SPC David Hannaman Tue, 10 Mar 2015 16:46:37 -0400 2015-03-10T16:46:37-04:00 2015-03-08T21:21:22-04:00
