I don't know how many of you are familiar with Boone Cutler, but right now, he is working on a push to establish the Warfighter Party on a federal and state level.<div><br></div><div> Do you think it's a good idea? Do you think it will be a success? Do you think it will be beneficial? Do you think it is too exclusionary and will alienate the population that has not served? Is it what we've been needing? I'm interested on your thoughts. </div><div><br></div><div>It has a webpage under construction and a FB page. Personally, I think it is too early to tell, as I'm not quite sure what the mission statement really is. I'm also a little concerned that with the various ideologies, it will just be another group squabbling among itself. I hope it is a positive force, though.</div> Politics (Warfighter Party) 2014-02-28T00:30:39-05:00 SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member 66378 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There are a few subjects I tend to shy away from, especially in a non face to face setting, but I've been thinking pretty heavily on this the last few days. If so, then it is way too exclusionary. According to the 2010 census, only 7% of the US population are veterans. 0.75% are currently serving.<br /><br />Source: <a target="_blank" href="http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-veterans-numbers/story?id=14928136#3">http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-veterans-numbers/story?id=14928136#3</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/001/728/qrc/gty_soldiers_afghanistan_ll_111110_wmain.jpg?1443019931"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/us-veterans-numbers/story?id=14928136#3">U.S. Veterans: A Look at Who&#39;s Served</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">As the Country Celebrates Veterans Day, Here&#39;s a Look at Those Who&#39;ve Served</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 21 at 2014 11:40 PM 2014-07-21T23:40:16-04:00 2014-07-21T23:40:16-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 254770 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I think the name is too aggressive and that people would tend to shy away from it simply because of that. The general populace would fear it thinking that it's just a bunch of warmongering baby eaters looking for every fight they could find.
